This place has a very Dominican vibe to it. All of the cashiers were speaking in Spanish to each other and most of the patrons were speaking in Spanish as well. They were very welcoming so don't be intimidated They bought the grocery store next door, knocked down the wall, and built a large bar attached to the restaurant. It is a good place to chill and grab a drink when it's nice outside. You know the food is going to be good when there is a sign out front telling you to leave your weapons at home The line can get long but it moves fast since most people are just ordering from the steam tables. Definitely call ahead of you want mofongo, that takes about 30 mins to prepare

Food was on point. Service was good with great atmosphere. Local off beat joint we found on yelp and it wasn't today from the Sheraton.

Picked by a friend, otherwise I never would have found it, I highly recommend you give it a try. The lunch I had there was supreme! Never before have I had stewed oxtails that taste this good. Usually there is a somewhat bland, fatty taste but none of that here. Instead there were seasonings that brought out more flavor from the meat which clung to the bone instead of falling off. My visit was during lunch hours and it was not that busy. They have some DJ and lighting equipment set up for later hours. It probably be a interesting place to visit then too.

This was my first time trying this place and it was so good. When I walked in I was immediately greeted. I ordered stewed chicken over yellow rice and it was excellent and filled with flavor. I ordered sweet plantains and they were made fresh. The service was fast and friendly. I will definitely be back for more.

I had the oxtails and rice and omg! I'm Jamaican abs this is the next best thing. Hit's close to home cooked meals! The only issue I have is that it's difficult to communicate what you want as well as oxtails aren't always there. I don't want to have to drive there to just find out upsetting news that there are no more oxtails.
